You Shall Go To The Ball! Sixteen young talented dancers have been rewarded with roles in the chorus in this year’s Christmas pantomime Cinderella after a day of open auditions on Saturday 13th June. Over 50 excited 11 – 19 year olds were put through their paces and auditioned by the pantomime’s Choreographer Andrew Wright (Theatre Manager Association Award Winner 2008 for Best New Musical Once Upon A Time at The Adelphi) and Executive Producer Daryl Back; who said “It was a great morning and we were both extremely impressed with the standard of all of the young people who came along.” The sixteen dancers are all from the local area and are Hannah Bennett, Mischa Evans, Jasmine Flores, Shannon Gleeson, Emily Headland, Jessie Messer-Stalbow, Annelise Orchard, Annabel Pahl, Charlotte Rees, Victoria Riley, Alex Stock, Shannon Stroud, Chloe Thompson, Catherine Underhill, Georgia Walton and Paris Williams. They will be split into two teams of eight and will perform on alternate performances throughout the run. Rehearsals will begin in November and the older girls will also have the opportunity to partner second year students from Arts Educational School, London. We are also delighted to announce that the hilarious Mark Jones (Smee in Peter Pan 08/09 and Muddles in Snow White 07/08) is back by popular demand playing the role of Buttons. There will also be an extra special appearance by Ian Lucken’s Cinderella Ponies. The 2009/2010 Cinderella production at The Beck Theatre is sponsored locally by The Uxbridge Gazette and Leader and runs from Saturday 12th December – Sunday 3rd January.
