Prunella Scales to come to The Beck!

We are delighted to announce the first star name who will be performing in the forthcoming production of Gertrude’s Secret; the legendary Prunella Scales.

Prunella is famously known for her much loved role as Basil Fawlty’s long-suffering wife Sybill in classic BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers as well as numerous television, film and theatre credits.

Gertrude’s Secret is a series of nine monologues, with Prunella taking on the title role of Gertrude, a lonely widow waiting for a call from her daughter on her birthday, but what exactly is her terrible secret?

This and many other questions are answered in this frequently hilarious and yet often unnerving show which features some of the best acting talent in British theatre.
